Order Fulfillment - All orders are processed on our secure servers. Astro's hours are Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 3 pm Eastern Time. Orders received via Astro's web site by 2pm on a normal business day are processed on the same day that they are received. Orders that require shipping are sent within two business days.

Delivery Methods -  Unless specified otherwise, the following shipping methods will apply to all orders.  Please note that all software orders over $25 are always shipped via a trackable delivery method.

  • mail - Orders sent via mail may be shipped via USPS, UPS, or others.  All orders have a base shipping charge of $3.25, plus a per item amount according to the following table:

  • email -  Charts, reports, and other calculations can be delivered via email.  Their is no additional shipping or handling charge for an emailed product.

Shipping and Handling -  Shipping and handling charges will be added to every order, unless the entire order is to be delivered via email.  If you request to have an order sent by more than one delivery method, you will be charged all applicable shipping and handling for each delivery method.

International Shipping - All orders shipped out of the U.S.A. may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you, as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; therefore, you should contact your local customs office for further information. If your order is a gift, the package will be marked "Gift," but the cost of the item is still stated on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to state the value of each item, directly on the package.

Generally, customs forms for international packages will list the value of your order's contents by product type. However, we may provide certain order, shipment and product information, such as titles, to our international carriers, and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws. Also, we would like our international customers and customers shipping products internationally to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

Returns -  Products may be returned within 30 days, subject to the product guidelines below.  We cannot issue a refund in the event inaccurate birth data was provided to us.  You may return a product if you are unhappy with the product, but you will not be allowed to order that same product in the future.  Note that shipping & handling charges are never refunded. You send email to request authorization to return merchandise.

  • email orders - No refunds are issued for email orders.   If you are not sure whether you will like a product, you may look at the online product samples.  Alternatively, you may wish to receive a product via standard mail if you are ordering it for the first time.

  • printed charts and reports - Any printed chart or report sent by standard mail can be returned within 30 days for a full refund.  Email to request authorization to return merchandise.

  • software - All software CD-ROMs and diskettes are shipped in sealed packages.  Opening the package constitutes acceptance of the license agreement included with the software package.  Once the media package is opened, software cannot be returned.  If the software package is unopened, it may be returned within 30 days for a full refund.  Send email to request authorization to return merchandise.

  • books -  All books may be returned within 30 days for a full refund.  Send email to request authorization to return merchandise.

  • audio/video cassettes and CD - All cassettes and CDs are shipped in sealed packages.  Once the media package is opened, they cannot be returned.  If the package is unopened, it may be returned within 30 days for a full refund.  Send email to request authorization to return merchandise.

Returned Bank Items -  Our bank will only send a check through one time. There will be a $25 processing fee assessed for each check returned. Payment for returned item(s) and fee will be accepted by cashier’s check, money order or credit card only.

Birth Data -  All astrological calculations require accurate birth data.  This means we require not only the date of birth, but the place of birth (city/state/country) and the time of birth (as exact as possible), as well.  Please confirm your data before placing an order.  We cannot issue a refund in the event a customer provides us with inaccurate birth data.  We can run a calculation for "unknown" birth data.

Unknown Birth Data -  As a standard option, if "unknown" birth time is given on an order, Astro will calculate the chart for noon in the time zone of the city that is given for birth place. A "noon chart" certainly gives you much more information to interpret than just your "Sun Sign," but it is not very accurate for detailed astrological work. If you are serious about astrology, it is well worth the effort to get the exact time of your birth.

If a birth took place any time after the mid-1930s in any reasonably sized city, the time almost surely was recorded and is on file at a local office.  Visit the Bureau of Vital Statistics to see a list of contact information for U.S. records offices. Most bureaus of statistics now merely photocopy the original records when asked for a birth certificate, so if you order a birth certificate, the time should be on it. If, instead, they transcribe information onto a special certificate form, the time may not appear. When ordering a birth certificate it is best to specify that you want the birth time.

Sometimes you can call a bureau of statistics and be told the birth time over the phone. Other times you will be told that birth information can only be given to the person to whom it belongs, and that they are unable to verify your identity by phone. It is your birth information; you have a right to see the document. You may be asked to pay a small fee for a copy. Astro's operators can provide you with the phone numbers of the vital statistics offices for all US states.

Hospitals have birth time records, too, but they are not set up to search for them as bureaus of statistics are, so they may or may not be willing or able to provide you with the time.

Non-person charts and reports -  Every business, every event, every question came into being at a specific time and place. If you can tell us what, where and when, we can calculate a chart for it – and hundreds of variations on that chart as well!
