Tidbits of Trump’s Terror

Thomas Canfield

October 3 was the birthday of author Gore Vidal, Born in 1925 into a patrician family, he grew up with contacts and insights into the workings of the Federal government. In his later years, he became something of a political gadfly, commenting on the changing nature of government. He wrote historical novels which showed the development of the Republic. Yet, what we have seen during the Trump years would have defied every fantasy of a dystopian America. Gore Vidal lived long enough to see the Dubya Bush administration and commented on its incompetence. The closest he came to anticipating the Trump years would have been his wild and ill-fated screenplay for the hideous film “Caligula.”

On October 3, Venus goes retrograde, and the chart for the event shows some aspects that may touch Donald Trump’s chart in ways he would rather avoid. At the time of the retrograde, Mars and Pluto will oppose each other along Trump’s Sixth and Twelfth House Axis. Pluto in the Sixth House may indicate hidden health issues. Mars in the Twelfth House may suggest a militant attempt to hide those facts, even if bombing Iran becomes necessary.  Mars and Pluto are squaring Mercury and Venus Retrograde. This may be intense news presenting itself like a baby forcing its way out of the womb. It is unlikely to be sympathetic news. With Venus Retrograde, it may involve news about women that Trump may want to conceal.

Venus Retrograde in Scorpio is trine the transiting Moon in Cancer. With the Moon in the Eleventh House, this is news that the public will want to hear. The Moon also trines Mercury, indicating a time for discussion. Uranus is quincunx Mercury and Venus Retrograde. The usual talking heads may find themselves left behind in the discussion. It may be a story that develops on its own thanks to social media, and corporate funding will not be involved. The Moon is conjunct Trump’s Mercury, and transiting Mercury and Venus Retrograde will trine Trump’s Mercury. He might try to head off the story on social media, but he could end up attracting more attention to it.

Transiting Juno opposes Trump’s Natal Venus-Saturn conjunction. Such an aspect could cause political embarrassment over harassment of women. Trump has already insulted women reporters by referring to them as “Piggy.” The insults could become more graphic and intolerable. It may be a situation where women are so grossed out by his behavior that it may lead to a women’s war against Trump.  Even those women who try to find redeeming social value in Trump may object to his actions.

Regarding the Epstein files, it has been a case of death by a thousand paper cuts for Donald Trump. The information being released has been sparse, but it has raised more questions about what is not being released. For the August 12 Kite aspect, the big reveal was that Hugh Hefner (of all people) once tried to get Jeffrey Epstein arrested for assaulting a Playboy Playmate. Because Hugh Hefner made the report, the FBI did not take it seriously, and the complaint was ignored for about 20 years. The significance of the reveal was that some rich and powerful people  were aware of the exploitation, but Epstein was too powerful for them to touch. With transiting Jupiter in Trump’s Twelfth House, we may see a reveal of the secrets he knew regarding the source of Epstein’s power.

The transiting Sun in Libra is conjunct all of Trump’s Libra planets, and opposes three transiting bodies in his Eight House. The Sun may act as a spotlight on his delusions (Neptune), his political chicanery (Juno), his thin-skinned ego (Chiron), and his business manipulations (Jupiter). In the Eighth House, the Sun opposes Neptune (more delusions), Saturn (his limitations), and Pallas (his unwise actions). The Sun squares the Moon in Cancer, as well as Trump’s Mercury, adding to the possibility of troublesome remarks about women.

Trump may do his best to bluster through the matter. The Ascendant for the Venus Retrograde chart is conjunct Trump’s Mars, and transiting Jupiter is also conjunct Trump’s Mars. He may take the path that the best defense is to be offensive. Jupiter is sextile Trump’s Sun and trine his Moon. Trump may be putting his ego on the line and trying to argue that the fault lies with the women conspiring against him. Transiting Ceres opposes Trump’s Natal Pallas, and the determined public may see through the unwise statements Trump makes. With the South  Node sitting on Trump’s Ascendant, the values that he expresses may seem cheap and tawdry. Transiting Eris is conjunct Vesta, and any appeals to family values will seem fake and ludicrous.

Venus Retrograde will square Trump’s Pluto and his Ceres. Whatever attacks by women emerge may reveal the man’s psychological hurt, stemming from his distant mother, his objectifying women, and his competing with ex-wives who were more glamorous than him. Venus Retrograde in Scorpio may stand for the final fury of women scorned, because the scorned women reveal everything that has hurt them, no matter how embarrassing it was to the man. What gets revealed about Trump may be more humiliating than what Stormy Daniels revealed, and all of the non-disclosure agreements will not be able to hold back the tide. It may be as painful as watching the film “Caligula,” a movie so bad that Gore Vidal was fortunate to have his name removed from it.
