Thomas Canfield
In the movie, “The Man who came to Dinner”, Jimmy Durante appeared as a madcap movie comedian named Banjo, entering the story towards the end to become a “deus ex machina” figure who wraps up the plot. When he makes his entrance, he sits down at the piano and starts singing:
“Did you ever get the feeling that you wanted to go,
But still had the feeling that you wanted to stay,
You knew it was right, wasn’t wrong.
Still you knew you wouldn’t be very long.
Go or stay, stay or go,
Start to go again and change your mind again.
It’s hard to have the feeling that you wanted to go,
But still have the feeling that you wanted to stay.
Do, re, mi, fa, so, la, si, do.
I’ll go. I’ll stay!
This song sums up the situation with ACS at the moment. As of June, we are still at 68A Fogg Road in Epping, NH, but there is the chance we may be moving out in the next month or two. We need to make arrangements for how printings and mailings will be done. Old stock has to be packed up and sent out. Old printer cartridges have to be recycled. Movers have to be hired to move equipment to new locations. And all of these things involve time and money.
Perhaps once Mercury Retrograde is over, we can set a time for the move. We will be sending out notices for the date when the moving company is coming, and what the new address will be. In the meantime, we can still receive mail at 68A Fogg Road, One of the major tasks is having a new computer system set up, and it may be taking place during Mercury Retrograde. It could be happening around the time of the Solar Eclipse on June 10, set for Washington D.C. at 6:52 am. There are a few aspects suggesting gains through technological improvements.
In the eclipse chart, Uranus is conjunct Ceres in the Eleventh House. Uranus rules electronics, and the Eleventh House is ruled by Aquarius, which is ruled by Uranus. Ceres rules growth and can be an indicator of financial gain. Both are in Taurus, the ruler of the Second House of Finances. Such a conjunction indicates monetary success through technology. The conjunction is sextile Venus in the First House, and trine Vesta in the Fourth House. These aspects may be helpful in moving the business into a “work from home” situation. The only difficulty may be Saturn in Aquarius squaring the conjunction. Saturn in the Eighth House may indicate delays in disposing of property. Although ACS may be ready to move, a delay in selling the Fogg Road building might incline us to stay.
The Solar Eclipse falls in the Twelfth House, and is conjunct Mercury Retrograde. Many of the changes being made to the business may be taking place behind the scenes. Programming the new computers may have delays involved. We hope that the down time for the business may be less than a week. The eclipse will be squaring Neptune, Pallas, and Vesta, and in an opposition to Juno. There could be upheavals at the time, especially in the political scene that could bring some delays. We might have to wait our turn as other customers needs come first. Chiron trine Juno may offer sensible results to any changes.
Mars void-of-course in Cancer may prevent angry scenes and a calm atmosphere for making changes. Jupiter trine the Ascendant and Venus may bring better rewards than expected. We may have a new address to announce by the July newsletter, and mail addressed to Fogg Road may be forwarded there.
